jacebhw asked: What a dick post by that other blog. I'm 25 and I moved from California to Minnesota when I was 11, and honestly? I freaking love your blog. The photos you find are gorgeous, you don't hate on other states or specific areas of Cali (like I've seen on other California appreciation blogs) and you even take requests! So honestly, those other guys are pretentious assholes who can go fuck themselves. Word.
Thank you so much, you have no idea how happy these messages make me. I appreciate that you see how I love all of California, even if it’s an apparent “rival” region or a not-as-nice area. You are the best, Jace! (I hope I got your name right!) :)
without-a-handrail asked: Fuck that shit -- haters gonna hate. You're doing just fine, especially considering that you're a full-time student. :) By the way, every now and then I send some of your posts to my boyfriend in an effort to try and convince him to move down here. :P
Thank you so much, Stephanie! He expects me to literally go to the places I think are nice in California and take my own photos instead of reblogging/sharing from flickr (which I always credit the photographer). Really, I wish I had time for that. And that’s so cute how you use FYC to convince your boyfriend, hope it works :)
jessmental asked: that other tumblr can frankly stfu. if he were so great, why doesn't he make his own CA blog? I'm sure it'd fail miserably. anyway, you are seriously the only CA blog I've seen that puts so much effort into your posts. you not only create collages whose themes you've thought of yourself, you take the time to credit and link each photographer. I honestly wouldn't even take the time for that, haha. your passion for showing our state is awesome. :)
Aw Jessica! Thank you so much! Your messages always bring me up :) I appreciate this message so much, and it makes me so happy that you see that I do put work into this blog when I can. You’re the best <3
@http://liquidfunk.tumblr.com/ and to anyone else who has ever disliked/criticized/hated FYC
You’ve been following my blog for a good while now and every now and then I see your name pop up followed with some kind of criticism for FuckYesCalifornia. Now I know that of course there will be people who don’t like my blog, but I don’t see why my blog is taken so seriously. I literally created the blog on a whim, to create a casual blog to bring together California loving tumblr users like me since I haven’t seen much California tumblrs on here. I do find it strange that this blog is sometimes criticized so strongly because come on, what do you expect. The name of the blog FuckYesCalifornia already gives off the vibe of a unprofessional blog that is on tumblr. And also, seriously, I’m a full time student, what more do you really expect out of me. Yeah I know sometimes I reblog, yeah its tumblr. That’s what you do. When I share photos from other sources, I ALWAYS add credit. Do you expect me to post a bunch of original photos? Because I totally have the time to travel around California with a professional camera that I don’t have. And yes, I do post text posts a lot, but that’s how I feel I can talk and connect to you guys. I know that it seems that I’m overreacting, but this blog HAS had its more of its fair share of hate and criticism which is strange because damn, at the end, its really just a tumblr blog. But hey, I must be doing something right because all hate aside, I do get a lot of love from you guys so to those who follow and support, thank you so much!
Omg I want this!
Last night, FYC hit another milestone! There are now 7,000 FuckYesCalifornians! Thank you all for your continuous support and love. Thank you to the followers that have stuck with FYC for so long and to those who just recently followed, I hope you like what’s to come. I love you all!
Hi guys I recently had In N Out and it was great.
I’m surprised I don’t already have one of these hanging in my room!
This was taken from the headlands of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. As I was walking around shooting the Golden Gate bridge I noticed the awesome curve in the Pacific Coast Highway out to the North. It was really windy and the fog was really starting to roll in thick as you can see in the upper left hand of the image. What a great place to relax…
